Dominic Joseph Leone, also known as “Dominator”, is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants. He was born on October 26, 1991, and he is 5 feet 11 inches tall.
In college, he was a member of the Clemson Tigers baseball team. The Seattle Mariners selected Leone in the 16th round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft.
Leone was taken in the 16th round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft by the Seattle Mariners, and when he signed with the organization, he got a $100,000 signing bonus.
He was sent to the Short Season-A Everett AquaSox by the Mariners, where he pitched 19 innings for a 3–0 record, 1.36 ERA, and 39 strikeouts in 33 innings.
Leone signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants on December 8, 2020. He was added to the active roster on June 1, 2021. Dominic Leone got married to his wife, Lauren, in December 2016.
Leone struck out Eric Hosmer of the San Diego Padres to conclude the season’s last game and claim the NL West division championship for the Giants on October 3, 2021.
Leone went 4-5 with two saves and a career-best 1.51 ERA in the regular season of 2021. He appeared in 57 games (4 starts), pitching 53.2 innings and allowing 6.2 hits per nine innings.
