Dominic Leone, born Dominic Joseph Leone is an American born professional baseball pitcher with the San Francisco Giants baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB). Dominic earns an annual salary of $750,000 from the Giants. He has a height of 1.80 m and a weight of 95 kg.
He was born in Connecticut on October 26, 1991. He grew up there and had his high school baseball career playing for the Norwich Free Academy in Norwich, Connecticut. After high school, he was undrafted so he enrolled at Clemson University, where he played as a pitcher for the Clemson Tigers baseball team.
In 2012 after his college education and career, the Seattle Mariners selected him in the 16th round of the 2012 MLB draft. Dominic signed with them and received a signing bonus of $100,000.
He then started his professional career by playing in the Short Season-A Everett AquaSox. For the 2013 baseball season, he was first assigned to be with the Class-A Clinton LumberKings and was later promoted to the Advanced-A High Desert Mavericks of the California League.
The Mariners traded him to the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2015. Before the 2016 season ended, he was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays traded him in January 2018 to the St. Louis Cardinals. Dominic was elected free agency in October 2020.
