Carlos Rodón, born Carlos Antonio Rodón is one of the popular baseball pitchers currently with the San Francisco Giants baseball team. He earns an annual salary of $22 million from the Giants per his contract with them.
Carlos was born on December 10, 1992, in Miami, Florida. He played baseball in high school for Holly Springs High School in Holly Springs, North Carolina. After high school, he continued to play college baseball for the North Carolina State Wolfpack at the North Carolina State University.
As a freshman in college, he set the record of being the first-ever freshman to be named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s pitcher of the year. He led the North Carolina State to their first-ever College World Series in 1968. Carlos graduated from college in 2014 and was drafted by Chicago White Sox in the first round of the 2014 MLB draft. He signed with the White Sox for a $6.582 million signing bonus.
He made his professional debut that season playing with the Arizona League White Sox. The White Sox called him up to their majors in April 2015 and he made his MLB debut that month for the White Sox. The San Francisco Giants signed him on a two-year contract worth $44 million in March 2022.
