Luke Jackson is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Atlanta Braves. The Texas Rangers selected him in the first round, 45th overall, in the 2010 Major League Baseball draft. He made his MLB debut with the Rangers in 2015.
He is the second of his parents’ four children. Alva Ray Decker is his grandfather. In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Jackson attended Calvary Christian Academy. He was 8-1 with a 0.90 ERA as a senior.

He began 2013 with Myrtle Beach. During the season, he was promoted to the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders. He was selected the Nolan Ryan Minor League Pitcher of the Year at the end of the season. He returned to Frisco at the start of 2014. Later, he was promoted to the Triple-A Round Rock Express.
