Luke Jackson is an American born baseball player who is part of the Atlanta Braves team and plays the position of a pitcher. He was born on August 24, 1,991 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida the United States.
Luke is an old student of Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He played baseball for the school’s baseball team and during his senior year, he recorded an 8-1 with an 0.90 ERA.
After high school, he was drafted by the Texas Rangers baseball team in the first round of the 45th overall selection of the 2010 Major League Baseball(MLB) draft. He signed with them instead of going to play college baseball at the University of Miami.
Luke made his professional debut in 2011 playing for the Hickory Crawdads, an affiliate team to the Rangers in minor league baseball. He was promoted to the Double-A Frisco Rough Riders during the 2013 baseball season. He was named the Nolan Ryan Minor League Pitcher of the Year when the season was over.
In August 2015, luke was called up to the major leagues for the first time and in September that year, he made his MLB debut for the Texas Rangers. The Rangers traded him to the Atlanta Braves in December 2016. He has been with the Braves to date.
