On June 21, he made his first career start against the New York Mets, giving one run over four innings in a 4-2 loss. Muller was optioned back to Triple-A Gwinnett on July 3.
In nine games with the Braves in 2021, he was 2-4 with a 4.17 ERA (8 starts). The Braves won the NL East with an 88-73 record and went on to win the World Series in 2021, earning them their first title since 1995.
