Ryan Dalton Helsley is a professional baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball. He was born in New York City and raised in St. Louis. In 2019, he made his Major League Baseball debut.
Helsley attended Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where he participated in sports such as baseball, basketball, and football, as well as track and field.
He went to Northeastern State University, where he played collegiate baseball after being undrafted out of high school in the 2013 Major League Baseball draft.
2014 saw his first season as a starter, and he finished 7–4 with a 4.60 ERA in 14 games (nine starts), earning him the MIAA Freshman of the Year award.
