Chasen Dean Shreve (born July 12, 1990) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the New York Mets.
He debuted in Major League Baseball with the Atlanta Braves in 2014, and he’s previously played for the New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, and Pittsburgh Pirates.
Shreve went to Las Vegas’ Bonanza High School. Shreve was chosen to the Nevada All-State Second team for baseball his senior year. He went to the Collegiate of Southern Nevada and played college baseball there.
Shreve was taken in the 11th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft by the Atlanta Braves.
That year, he made his professional debut with the Danville Braves of the Rookie-level Appalachian League, where he went 2–0 with a 2.25 ERA (ERA). Shreve pitched for the Rome Braves of the Class A South Atlantic League in 2011, posting a 5–6 record with a 3.86 ERA.
Shreve signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets on November 17, 2021. Shreve’s contract was selected to the major league roster on April 4, 2022.
