Luis Guillorme is a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Guillorme was drafted by the New York Mets in the 10th round of the 2013 MLB draft. With the Gulf Coast Mets, he hit.258, 337, and 283 with 11 RBIs in 41 games in his debut season as a professional.
With the Kingsport Mets and Savannah Sand Gnats, he hit.283 and had 17 RBIs in a total of 60 games played in 2014.
In 2015, he returned to Savannah and was voted the South Atlantic League MVP after batting.381 with 55 RBIs, 18 stolen bases, and a.746 OPS in 122 games. He returned to Savannah in 2016.
Guillorme was the starting shortstop for Spain’s national baseball team in the World Baseball Classic qualification tournament in 2016.
He played for the St. Lucie Mets in 2016 and the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in 2017 with a.283 batting average, one home run, 43 RBIs, and a.706 OPS, respectively.
