Bryce Harper is an American professional baseball right fielder for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB).
He graduated from Las Vegas High School in October 2009 with a General Educational Development diploma (GED).
This qualified him for the amateur draft in June 2010, allowing him to begin his professional baseball career. Harper enrolled at the Scenic West Athletic Conference’s College of Southern Nevada in 2010.
He made an impression by hitting 31 home runs, surpassing the previous school record of 12 home runs. As a result, he was voted SWAC Player of the Year.
He hit for the cycle and went 6-for-7 with five RBIs in the West district finals of the 2010 NJCAA World Series.
On June 2nd, he was dismissed from a National Junior College World Series game when home plate umpire Don Gilmore called a third strike.
Because it was his second ejection of the season, he was suspended for two games. His amateur career came to an end as a result of this. He did, however, win the 2010 Golden Spikes Award for his skill and capability.
