Andrés Eduardo Machado is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball.
He was born on April 22, 1993. His former team in Major League Baseball was the Kansas City Royals. Manny Machado became an employee of the Kansas City Royals as an international free agent on November 20, 2010, after signing a contract with the team.
His first experience in the professional ranks came with the DSL Royals, where he pitched seven games and had an earned run average of 4.66.
As a direct consequence of having Tommy John surgery, Machado was sidelined for the entirety of the 2015 season. In 2016, he made his way back to the organization and played for the Idaho Falls Chukars in their rookie league.
Machado was promoted to the main leagues for the very first time that year (2017). Machado signed a minor league deal with the Washington Nationals organization on February 26, 2021.
