Anthony Benjamin Kay is an American professional baseball pitcher who now plays for the Toronto Blue Jays in Major League Baseball.
Kay was born on March 21, 1995, in Stony Brook, New York. During the 2016 Major League Baseball draft, the New York Mets selected Kay in the first round with the 31st overall choice.
However, he did not sign with the New York Mets after being selected by them in the 29th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft.
He played collegiate baseball for the University of Connecticut, where he attended school. He had a record of 5–4 as a freshman at the University of Connecticut, a 3.49 earned run average (ERA), and 56 strikeouts.
He was a member of the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League during the summers of 2014 and 2015 when he played collegiate summer baseball.

Kay did not participate in any games, and on October 4, 2016, he had surgery to repair his torn Tommy John ligament. The 2019 All-Star Futures Game will feature him as a participant.
He began the 2019 campaign with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies before being elevated to the Syracuse Mets on June 14 of that year.
