The Blue Jays are a member of the American League (AL) and are the only Major League Baseball organization to play in a city other than the United States. They are based in Toronto, Canada. The squad has won two American League pennants and two World Series championships (1992, 1993).

The 1992 Toronto Blue Jays season was the franchise’s 16th in the National League. Toronto won the American League East for the fourth consecutive season, finishing with a 96-66 record and a season-high attendance of 4,028,318.
The Blue Jays won their first American League pennant in four tries in the American League Championship Series, defeating the Oakland Athletics in six games.
The Toronto Blue Jays met the Atlanta Braves in the World Series, who had won their second consecutive National League pennant but had lost the previous year’s World Series. The Blue Jays won the World Series in six games, becoming the first team from outside the United States to do so.
The 1993 Season of the Toronto Blue Jays
The 1993 Toronto Blue Jays were in their 17th season in Major League Baseball. As a consequence, the Blue Jays finished first in the American League East with a 95-win and 67-loss record. In 162 regular-season games, they were only shut out once (by Fernando Valenzuela on June 30th).
