Sean Anthony Manaea is a pitcher who now pitches for the San Diego Padres in Major League Baseball (MLB). In Major League Baseball, he was a member of the Oakland Athletics. He was a baseball player at Indiana State University.
While at Indiana State, Manaea was named the best prospect in the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2012. The Kansas City Royals selected Manaea 34th overall in the 2013 MLB draft, and he was traded to the Athletics during the 2015 season. He debuted in the major leagues in 2016, and on April 21, 2018, he threw a no-hitter. The Athletics traded Manaea to the Padres before the 2022 season.
