Ethan Small is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2022.
Lexington High School, where Small graduated, is located in Lexington, Tennessee. He was not selected in the 2015 MLB draft out of high school, so he enrolled at Mississippi State University.
At Mississippi State in 2016, Small only managed to throw ten innings in his debut year of service. he spent the summer with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he played college baseball.
The next year, he had Tommy John surgery and missed the entire season. With 18 appearances and an earned run average of 3.20, he made his first appearance of the season as an 18-year-old redshirt sophomore in 2018. (ERA).
SEC Pitcher of the Year Small finished the year with a 10-2 record and 1.93 ERA in 18 starts, with an impressive 176 strikeouts in 107 innings. A national award for the best pitcher went to him this year.
