Until the end of the 2021 season, Jhonathan Daz played for the Venezuelan national baseball team.

Boston Red Sox scouts Eddie Romero and Angel Escobar were the ones who brought Daz to the team in 2013.

His WHIP (1.06) put him in a tie for 5th place with Spencer Howard and Tony Dibrell in the South Atlantic League’s WHIP standings, while his ERA (between Domingo Robles and Reid Anderson) put him in 8th place.
