Lars Nootbaar is an outfielder with the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball in the United States. In 2021, he made his MLB debut.
El Segundo High School, where he competed in baseball and football. Nootbaar grew up in El Segundo, California, and graduated in 2002.
Baseball MVP three times, and twice as the Eagles’ starting quarterback, he also won the award in football.
He has committed to play collegiate baseball at the University of Southern California (USC), and he has also been recruited to play college football by UC Davis and Fordham, among other institutions.
Nootbaar was a three-year starter for the University of Southern California Trojans, where his older brother, Nigel, had previously played for the program.
