Mark Kolozsvary is an American professional baseball catcher for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was drafted by the Reds in the seventh round of the 2017 MLB draft.
It was during his senior year that Kolozsvary transferred to Tavares High School from Mount Dora Christian Academy for his last year of high school.
He went on to play college baseball for the Florida Gators at the University of Florida. He was a member of the 2017 College World Series with the Gators (CWS).
Nick Lodolo struck out Kolozsvary in his only at-bat during the CWS. In the 197th overall pick in the 2017 MLB draft, the Cincinnati Reds picked Kolozsvary, and he signed with the team.
He made his professional debut with the Billings Mustangs, where he slashed.305/.362/.411 in 28 games. At Single-A Dayton, Kolozsvary batted.225/.310/.324 with three home runs and 27 RBI in 2018.
As a member of the High-A Daytona Tortugas in the next season, Kolozsvary had an excellent season with the team, posting career-highs of 18/83/341/3.321.
