Mark Kolozsvary, born Mark Daniel Kolozsvary is a professional baseball catcher with the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. Mark is 1.73 m tall and weighs 82 kg. He has been with the Reds since they signed him in 2017.
Mark was born on September 4, 1995, to mother, Holly Kolozsvary. He played high school baseball at Mount Dora Christian Academy in Mount Dora, Florida and Tavares High School in Tavares, Florida. After his high school education and career, he enrolled at the University of Florida, where he played college baseball for the Florida Gators.
During the 2017 MLB draft, he was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 7th round of the draft. He agreed to play for the Reds and signed with the team. He made his professional debut that year with the rookie-level Billings Mustangs. In 2018, he played for the Single-A Dayton Dragons.
He was promoted to the High-A Daytona Tortugas in 2019. He did not play in any game in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic which caused the season to be cancelled. When the minor league season began in 2021, Mark was assigned to the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts.
In August 2021, the Reds promoted him to the Triple-A Louisville Bats. The Reds added him to their active roster in September 2021. He made his MLB debut for the Reds on April 20 2022.
