Aristides Aquino is a Dominican professional baseball outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Dominican Prospect League free agent Aquino was signed by the Cincinnati Reds in January 2011. It was with the Dominican Summer League Reds that he made his professional debut in 2010, and he returned to play with them in 2012.
When he was a minor leaguer in 2013, he was a member of the Arizona Reds, the Billings Mustangs, and the Dayton Dragons. With the Daytona Tortugas, he won the Florida State League’s Player of the Year award in 2016. After the season, the Reds made him a permanent part of their 40-man roster.
On August 17, 2018, Aquino made his major league debut, replacing Joey Votto, who had been placed on the 10-day disabled list due to a hamstring injury.
As a pinch-runner for Scooter Gennett on August 19, 2018, Aquino made his major league debut.
