Allan Alexesis Cerda is a professional baseball outfielder with the Cincinnati Reds in the American League.
Cerda signed as an international free agent with the Cincinnati Reds in July 2017. After the 2021 season, the Reds added him to their 40-man roster.
How Old Is Allan Cerda?
Allan Cerda is 22 years old. He was born on November 24, 1999.
Allan Cerda’s 2021 season is off to a good start. To begin the season, Cincinnati assigned the outfielder to Low-A Daytona, where he homered in his first game and added a double and a triple in his second.
He would add another double and another home run in the final game of the first series, eviscerating the Palm Beach Cardinals pitching.
However, things began to slow down after that. He hit just .163/.275/.349 during the next month before being placed on the injured list with the Tortugas for the next month due to an ailment.
Allan Cerda made his comeback to the lineup on July 9th, but he struggled right away, going 0-17 with two walks in his first six games back.
But on the 17th, he caught fire and hasn’t looked back since. He participated in 30 games over the next five weeks, hitting .321/.435/.679 with 7 doubles, 2 triples, 9 home runs, and 16 walks.
The Reds promoted the centerfielder to High-A Dayton as a result of this. He went 9-21 (.429) with 5 doubles and a triple in his first series versus Fort Wayne.
However, he rapidly fell out of favor, going 1-32 in his next nine games. As quickly as he went cold, he turned it back on in the last week of the season, going 11-24 (.458) in the final seven games with more walks than strikeouts.
