Damon Jones was born on September 30, 1994, and is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies (MLB).
Jones graduated from Twin Falls High School in Idaho and went on to play collegiate baseball at the College of Southern Idaho and Washington State University. The Philadelphia Phillies selected him in the 18th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft.
Jones made his professional debut with the Williamsport Crosscutters, going 2–3 with a 4.85 ERA in 26 innings of relief. He pitched in 23 games for the Lakewood BlueClaws in 2018, with a 10–7 record and 3.41 ERA (22 starts).
Jones got promoted to the main leagues for the first time on April 19, 2021. He was optioned down the next day without appearing.
Jones was summoned to the majors again on July 11 when Alec Bohm, Connor Brogdon, Aaron Nola, and Bailey Falter were placed on the COVID-19 disabled list.
Jones was optioned down to Lehigh Valley on July 16 and did not appear. On August 10, he made his MLB debut, tossing 13 pitches against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
