Joseph Abel Romero is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB).
The Chicago Cubs selected Norwood in the seventh round of the 2014 MLB draft. He signed with the Cubs and pitched for the Arizona League Cubs and the Boise Hawks in his rookie season, going 0–2 with a 7.65 ERA in 20 innings.
He pitched in the Arizona League and for the South Bend Cubs in 2015, having a combined 2–6 record and 4.68 ERA in 17 total games (11 starts), and in 2016, he appeared for both South Bend and the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, posting a combined 4–1 record and 3.25 ERA in 30 total relief appearances.
