Bohm was a great hitter for Roncalli Catholic High School in Omaha, Nebraska, however he was not picked in the 2015 MLB Draft.
Instead, he elected to play collegiate baseball with the Wichita State Shockers after graduating from high school. In his three years with the Shockers, Bohm was a prolific offensive player with a batting average of over.300.
Bohm also played collegiate summer baseball in the Coastal Plain League and the Cape Cod Baseball League outside of Wichita State.
