Austin Meadows is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Tampa Bay Rays.
When Meadows was signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates, he played for both the Gulf Coast Pirates and the Jamestown Jammers of the Class A-Short Season New York–Penn League in 2013, earning an impressive 48-game total batting average and seven home runs and 22 RBIs in 2013.
After only appearing in 38 games in 2014 with the West Virginia Power of the Class A South Atlantic League, he batted.322/.388/.486 with three home runs and 15 RBIs after missing much of the season with a hamstring injury.
While with the Bradenton Marauders, he was a member of Class A Advanced Florida State League All-Star team in 2015.
He spent the final week of the season with the Class AA Eastern League’s Altoona Curve. Slashing at Bradenton he made 121 appearances.
His slash line for the season was 307/.357/.407, which included seven home runs and 54 RBIs in just six games with the Altoona Flyers.
He played in the Arizona Fall League after the regular season for the Glendale Desert Dogs.
