Austin Wade Meadows is a Major League Baseball outfielder for the Detroit Tigers in the United States.
Meadows played baseball with Clint Frazier while growing up in Grayson, Georgia.
He played baseball for Grayson High School and led the team to the Georgia Class 6A State Semifinals as a junior, hitting .390 with four home runs, 28 RBIs, and 19 stolen bases.

Meadows was voted a Rawlings and Perfect Game preseason First-Team High School All American, and he hit .535 with 14 doubles, one triple, four home runs, and 28 RBIs in his senior season.
Meadows also played football at Grayson, where he was teammates with Wayne Gallman and Robert Nkemdiche as a running back, wide receiver, and punter.
Meadows was regarded as one of the best prospects available in the 2013 MLB draft. Pittsburgh Pirates chose him ninth overall in the first round.
Meadows had committed to play college baseball for the Clemson Tigers but instead signed with the Pirates three weeks after the draft, receiving a $3,029,600 signing bonus.
Meadows played for the Gulf Coast Pirates of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League and the Jamestown Jammers of the Class A-Short Season New York–Penn League in 2013, batting .316 with seven home runs and 22 RBIs in 48 games between the two teams after signing with the Pirates.
