Hoby Trey Milner is one of the professional baseball pitchers with the Milwaukee Brewers. Hoby had his amateur baseball career at R. L. Paschal High School in Fort Worth, Texas. After high school, he played college baseball at the University of Texas at Austin.
Before he entered his senior year in college, he was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 7th round of the 2012 MLB draft. He left college and signed with the Phillies and made his professional debut that year playing with the Low-A Williamsport Crosscutters, and also the Single-A Lakewood Blue Claws.
During the 2013 minor league season, he was with the High-A Clearwater Threshers and he spent the 2014 season playing for the Double-A with the Reading Fightin Phils. He was called up to the major leagues by the Phillies in June 2017 and he made his MLB debut that same month for the Phillies.
The Phillies traded him to the Tampa Bay Rays in July 2018 and he signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Angels in December 2019. This contract included an invitation to their spring training. Hoby signed another minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers in December 2020 and has been with them since.
