Aaron Lee Brooks is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals in the United States.
He has played for the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, and Baltimore Orioles in Major League Baseball, as well as the Kia Tigers of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Brooks attended Cajon High School and California State University, San Bernardino, where he was a member of the Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes baseball team.
Brooks was drafted in the ninth round of the 2011 MLB draft by the Kansas City Royals. Brooks has only 1.3 walks per nine innings pitched in 393+13 total innings worked throughout the 2013 season.
Brooks was invited to spring training by the Royals in 2014. At the start of the 2014 season, he was assigned to the Omaha Storm Chasers of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League (PCL).
Brooks was promoted to the major leagues by the Royals on April 5, 2014, before he could pitch for Omaha.
On April 8, he was optioned back to Omaha without playing in a game. On May 3, he made his MLB debut.
Brooks and partner Sean Manaea were traded to the Oakland Athletics for Ben Zobrist on July 28, 2015. He won his first major league game in his debut game with the Athletics.
Brooks signed a minor league contract with the St. Louis Cardinals on January 31, 2022.
