Alain de Cadenet was a racing driver who also worked as a broadcaster on television.

After a successful career in sports car endurance racing, he went on to host a variety of events and broadcasts for various outlets, including the Speed Channel, ESPN, the Velocity Channel, and the Petrolicious website.

Between the years 1996 and 2000, De Cadenet was the host of Legends of Motorsport for the Speed network. He was also the host for Speed’s coverage of the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

In the 2000s, he served as the host of Speed’s Victory By Design, a program in which he drove classic racing vehicles and recounted the history of each one.

In 2012, de Cadenet was the host of Renaissance Man on the Velocity Channel, which is now known as the Motor Trend network.

The show included topics such as racing at Monaco, automobiles, motorcycles, and the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine.

Maxime de Cadenet, a lieutenant in the French Air Force, and his first wife, Valerie, an Englishwoman, gave birth to Alain de Cadenet. His academic training was received at Framlingham College.
