20-year-old American tennis player Amanda Anisimova competes professionally. She has the highest WTA ranking of No. 21 in the world, and since just before she turned 17, she has consistently remained in the top 100. Anisimova has made three WTA finals and won two WTA Tour titles.
Anisimova started playing tennis at a very young age, coached by her father Konstantin, and alongside her talented older sister. When Anisimova was very young, her parents made the decision to relocate to Florida in order to provide their kids with better training possibilities.
Anisimova achieved a world ranking of No. 2 as a junior. She won two further Grade-A titles in addition to the girls’ singles title at the 2017 US Open. She also became the first American finalist at the French Open girls’ singles event in 14 years.
On the WTA Tour, Anisimova rose to prominence at the 2018 Indian Wells Open, where she scored her first top-10 victory at age 16 against Petra Kvitová.
She won her first WTA title at the Copa Colsanitas in April 2019 at age 17, and her second title at the Melbourne Summer Set in January 2022 at age 20.
