At the age of five, Anisimova began playing tennis. As a child, Amanda’s family moved to Florida, where she and her sister could train and meet new coaches. While she was a junior, her father served as her primary coach, and her mother has also assisted in her coaching.

Her relationship with Nick Saviano began when she was just 11 years old. Her traveling coach was none other than Max Fomine, who had worked with the Bryan brothers as an assistant coach.

A career-high No. 2 ITF junior ranking was obtained by Anisimova in 2016. Even though she wasn’t among the top 300 juniors in the world when she joined the 2015 Abierto Juvenil Mexicano, the 14-year-old surprise won the Grade A championship.

While excelling in 2016, she won the Copa del Café Grade 1 and reached the Copa Gerdau Finale Grade A.
