Andrew Benintendi is an American professional baseball left fielder for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played in MLB for the Boston Red Sox from 2016 through 2020.
Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball selected Benintendi as National Player of the Year. He was named SEC Male Athlete of the Year, making him the fourth Arkansas athlete to do so.
Andrew is the first baseball player from Arkansas to win both the SEC and National Player of the Year awards. He was a unanimous first-team All-American who hit 20 home runs and led the SEC in batting average with.376.
