Andrew Stefan McCutchen is an American outfielder who currently plays for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball. He was born on October 10, 1986, and his full name is Andrew Stefan McCutchen.

He began his career in Major League Baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates and went on to play for the San Francisco Giants, the New York Yankees, and the Philadelphia Phillies.

McCutchen was chosen by the Pirates in the first round of the 2005 Major League Baseball draft (the 11th overall choice), yet he didn’t make his debut in the MLB until 2009.

McCutchen won the National League (NL) Most Valuable Player award in 2013, was a five-time All-Star (2011–2015), a four-time Silver Slugger Award winner (2012–2015), a Gold Glove Award winner in 2012, and the Roberto Clemente Award winner in 2015 while he was with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

In addition, he won the Roberto Clemente Award in 2015. In 2012, McCutchen was the National League batting champion with 194 hits. In 2014, he topped the NL in on-base percentage (.410), OPS (.952), and extra-base hits (69).

McCutchen was born in Fort Meade, Florida, to parents Lorenzo McCutchen and Petrina Swan, both of whom were still in their teenage years at the time of their son’s birth.

During the time that his father was attending classes at Carson–Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee, he resided with his mother.

In order to spend more time with his son, Lorenzo gave up his hope of making it into the National Football League (NFL). Petrina would not marry him until he completed his training to become a preacher, so he accomplished that.
