Andrew Robert Heck was born on January 1, 1967, and is a former American football player and coach who currently resides in the United States.
He currently serves as the offensive line coach for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. He was a tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for twelve seasons, starting at left tackle.
The Seattle Seahawks selected him in the first round of the 1989 NFL Draft with the 15th overall pick in the first round of the draft.
He attended the University of Notre Dame and participated in college football. He has also played for the Chicago Bears and the Washington Redskins, among other teams.
Andy Heck went to W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, Virginia, a suburb southwest of Washington, D.C., where he graduated with honors.
He was awarded a scholarship to play football at the University of Notre Dame, where he served as co-captain and assisted in the Fighting Irish’s national championship victory in 1988 under head coach Lou Holtz. He graduated with honors in 1988.
Heck’s son, Charlie Heck, is an offensive tackle with the Houston Texans in the National Football League after being selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
