Lee Michael Zeldin, Ariana’s father, is an American attorney and an officer in the United States Army Reserve. On Tuesday, he won the Republican nomination for governor,
clinching the nomination with a comfortable victory over former White House staffer Andrew Giuliani, businessman Harry Wilson and former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino in the party primary. Ariana’s father is garnering national attention as a result of his victory. Lee Michael Zeldin is a Republican.
He was born in the United States on January 30th, 1980. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2015 and has represented New York’s 1st congressional district ever since.
His district encompasses Smithtown, Brookhaven, Riverhead, Southold, Southampton, East Hampton and Shelter Island as well as a small portion of Islip in Suffolk County. As a New York State Senator, Zeldin served from 2011 to 2014, representing the 3rd Senate District.
Zeldin was a steadfast Trump supporter during the term of Trump’s presidency. He made a point of defending the president during Trump’s initial impeachment hearings in relation to the Trump–Ukraine incident.
Zeldin voted against the certification of Arizona’s and Pennsylvania’s electoral votes after Trump was defeated in the 2020 presidential election and began making unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud.
