Ashton Goudeau is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). Goudeau was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 27th round of the 2012 MLB draft. He has also played in MLB for the Cincinnati Reds.
On November 25, 2020, Goudeau was picked up by the Pittsburgh Pirates after being placed on waivers by his last team.
After that, on December 7, 2020, the Baltimore Orioles, on March 18, 2021, the San Francisco Giants, and on April 10, 2021, the Los Angeles Dodgers all claimed him.
After being designated by the Dodgers earlier that day, he was picked up by the Rockies on April 18 as a result of another waiver claim by the Rockies.
The Rockies once again put Goudeau on waivers and designated him for assignment on April 29, 2021. The Cincinnati Reds put in a claim for Goudeau on May 2, 2021, after seeing him available on waivers.
Goudeau made his first appearance of the season against the Milwaukee Brewers on May 23, and he pitched 2.1 innings without allowing a hit in that game.
Goudeau recorded an earned run average of 4.00 while striking out 5 batters in 5 games pitched for the Reds. Goudeau was optioned to play for the Louisville Bats of the Triple-A level on July 21. The Reds decided to release Goudeau on July 28 and designated him for assignment.
