Austin Blythe, a National Football League (NFL) center for the Kansas City Chiefs, was born on June 16, 1992. (NFL). The Indianapolis Colts selected him in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft after he played college football at Iowa. He has also played with the Los Angeles Rams in the National Football League, as well.
Blythe started all 52 games he played in during his four years at Iowa as a starter. Senior year, he helped the Hawkeyes start 12–0, earning them a trip to the Big Ten Championship and the 2016 Rose Bowl. At the end of his senior season, he was named to the Rimington Award, which is given to the nation’s best center every year since 1983.
An alumnus of Williamsburg (Iowa) High School, where he was a two-time all-state football center and a three-time state champion wrestler, Blythe was married to Kylie Ritchie in 2015 who is the daughter of his high school football coach.
The two had known each other since elementary school, but it wasn’t until college that they began dating seriously. He and his wife welcomed a boy into the world in June 2016. He and his wife welcomed their second child, a daughter, into the world in January 2020.
