Ben Stille was born on November 12, 1997, and is currently 24 years old. His parents are Kevin and Karen Stille. In May 2021, he got his master’s degree in nutrition and health sciences from Nebraska. In December 2019, he got his bachelor’s degree in the same field.
Stille is very involved in his neighborhood. He has helped out with the FCA, a Day of Service, kids with brain cancer, the Nebraska Football Road Race, Teammates, a Unified track meet, and many local hospitals, schools, and youth camps. In 2019, he was on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at the University of Nebraska.
Ben Stille was a standout on both sides of the ball for Ashland-Greenwood High in 2015, leading the Eagles to an 8-3 record and a spot in the quarterfinals of the Class C-1 state tournament under head coach Ryan Thompson.
As a tight end, Stille has 26 receptions for 415 yards and 5 touchdowns. As a defensive end, he was a formidable opponent, racking up 79 tackles (including 46 solo stops), 17 tackles for loss (including 9 sacks), and a total of 9 quarterback hurries. Stille was responsible for kicking and punting as well, converting on 46 of 49 extra points and 3 of 4 field goal attempts.
Stille was named to both the Lincoln Journal Star’s Super-State team and the Omaha World-All-Nebraska Herald’s squad as a first-team selection. Both publications named him honorary captain of their all-state teams for Class C-1. He was named defensive player of the year in Nebraska by USA Today and was selected to the all-state squad.
Stille had 16 receptions for 538 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns in 2014. His average yardage per catch was almost 34 yards. He made all four of his field goal attempts and finished with 63 tackles, 10 sacks, and 19 tackles for loss. Ashland-Greenwood went 12-1 as a result of his efforts and ended up as runners-up in the state.
