He was drafted by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft after playing college football at Ohio State, where he helped the club win the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship. He’s also played for the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints.
Apple was birthed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Annie Apple and his father, and was brought up in Voorhees Township, New Jersey, by his stepfather Tim Apple.
