Brandon Woodruff, a pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers, is an American-born professional baseball player. His real name is Brandon Kyle Woodruff. He was born on February 10, 1993, in Tupelo, Mississippi, the United States.
Brandon participated in baseball while a student at Wheeler High School in Wheeler, Mississippi. He was chosen by the Texas Rangers in the fifth round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft out of high school, but instead of signing with the Rangers, he chose to play college baseball at Mississippi State University.
He played collegiate summer baseball in 2012 with the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He was chosen in the eleventh round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. In his debut year as a pro, he joined them and played for the Helena Brewers. He participated in 2015 with the Brevard County Manatees.
The Brewers gave him the Manatees as his starting team for the 2016 season. He was promoted to the Biloxi Shuckers in the middle of the season. He took part in 2017 while playing for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. The Milwaukee Brewers promoted him to the major leagues in June 2017, and on August 4, 2017, he made his MLB debut.
