Brock Burke is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2019.
During his high school years, Burke went to Evergreen High School in Colorado. He fanned 20 Eaglecrest High School hitters in a game at Coors Field during his senior year. He has made a firm decision to attend the University of Oregon in the fall of this year.
The Rays drafted him in the third round of the 2014 MLB draft, with the 96th overall pick.
He agreed to a signing bonus of $897,500. In his first 13 innings of professional baseball, he went 0-3 with a 10.80 ERA with the Gulf Coast Rays in 2014.
When he pitched for Princeton Rays and the Hudson Valley Renegades in 2015 and 2016, Burke had a 4-2 record and a 3.42 ERA, respectively, in 11 starts.
While playing for the Bowling Green Hot Rods in 2017, Burke was elevated to the Charlotte Stone Crabs. He was 11–6 with a 2.99 ERA in 23 starts for the two teams.
In 2018, Brock appeared in 25 games for the Charlotte Checkers and the Montgomery Biscuits, going 9–6 with a 3.08 ERA (22 starts). After the 2018 season, the Rays added Burke to their 40-man roster.
