Bruce Johnson was born May 5, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky in the United States of America. He grew up not knowing his father and he was the first in his family to go to college and become a graduate.
Bruce was popularly known as a TV news anchorman and reporter for WUSA 9 TV in Washington, D.C. in the United States of America. He gained admission to attend the Kentucky State University where he studied for three years and later got transferred to Northern Kentucky University.
He studied political science at Northern Kentucky University and graduated in 1973. He then went to the University of Cincinnati for his master’s degree in public affairs. He was later awarded an honorary doctorate.
Bruce was a member of the National Press Club (NPC), the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and was also a national advocate for heart attack and cancer survivors when he was alive. He even wrote a book titled heart to heart which told the stories of heart attack and cancer survivors.
Bruce Johnson died of heart failure at the age of 71 on Sunday, April 3, 2022, in Delaware, United States.
