How Old Is Caleb Baragar?
In high school, Bargar pitched two no-hitters in Jenison. In 2013 and 2014, he pitched for Jackson College in his first two seasons of collegiate baseball.
For his final two years of college, he attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, in 2015 and 2016.
The San Francisco Giants selected Baragar in the ninth round of the 2016 MLB draft (275th overall).
Baragar was invited to Giants spring training in 2020 after spending parts of four seasons in the minors, where he was 18-20 with a 3.82 ERA and was selected a 2019 Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star.
Baragar has been added to the Giants’ 40-man roster for the 2020 season.
After two scoreless innings in relief, he made his MLB debut on July 25, 2020, against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He pitched 22.1 innings in 24 games in 2020, going 5-1 with a 4.03 ERA (one start). In terms of win-loss percentage, he ranked second in the NL (.833; behind Max Fried).
