To begin the 2021–202 PGA Tour season, Cameron Smith has been playing some of the best golf of his career.
The native of Brisbane has garnered a lot of attention after claiming victory in golf’s richest tournament, The Players Championship, back in March.
He had previously been a factor in the FedEx Cup standings in prior years.
Cameron Smith, who is now 28 years old and began playing on the PGA Tour in 2015, has been steadily climbing the rankings since making his debut on the course.
In May of 2022, he had an overall score of 69.338 and was ranked number 3 in the FedEx Cup standings.
He went on to win the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions, defeating Jon Rahm, who was the top-ranked golfer in the world at the time.
In addition, he triumphed at The Players Championship and finished in the top five at The Masters in the year 2022.
Before that, Cam already had two victories on the PGA Tour, in 2017 and 2020, as well as two victories in the Australian PGA Championship.
In addition to competing for his country at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, he also competed in the 2018 World Cup and the 2019 President’s Cup.
