Casey Hayward is an American football cornerback for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Vanderbilt.
Hayward was a standout performer on the track and field team at his high school, particularly in the events of the sprints and jumps.
At the Patriot Invitational in 2008, he earned a second-place finish in the triple jump event, posting a career-best leap of 13.93 meters (45 ft, 6 in), and he also placed twelfth in the 100-meter dash, with a time of 11.48 seconds. Both of these accomplishments were accomplished in the same competition.
In the long jump competition at the Harmon Invitational, in which he won first place, he had a personal best leap of 6.83 meters (22 feet, 3 inches). In addition, his personal best in the 200-meter dash was 22.75 seconds.
In addition, he was able to complete the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds, squat 400 pounds, bench press 255 pounds, and had a vertical jump of 33 inches.
