Chasen Dean Shreve (born July 12, 1990) is an MLB pitcher for the New York Mets (MLB). He debuted in Major League Baseball with the Atlanta Braves in 2014 and has since played for the New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, and Pittsburgh Pirates.
In Las Vegas, Nevada, Shreve attended Bonanza High School. Shreve was selected to the Nevada All-State Baseball Second Team his senior year. He went to the College of Southern Nevada and played baseball there.
Shreve joined the Pittsburgh Pirates organization as a minor leaguer on February 7, 2021. Shreve joined the active roster on May 11, 2021.
In 57 appearances as a reliever for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Shreve had a 3.20 ERA. Shreve was released from the team’s 40-man roster on November 6 and chose free agency.
Shreve joined the New York Mets’ minor league system on November 17, 2021. Shreve was signed to the major league roster on April 4, 2022.
