Chelsie Kryst; Miss USA 2019 was an American television presenter, attorney, fashion icon, and Extra correspondent. She was born on April 28, 1991, to a Polish American father and African American mother.
During Kryst’s infant days her mother participated in a beauty pageant where she emerged victoriously; so for Cheslie pageantry was no new thing.
Her rise to fame started with being involved in modeling and fashion. As a teenager, she participated in Miss Freshman at Northwestern High School and won. Later on, she found herself competing amongst other ladies for the Miss Fort Mill High School title; fortunately, she won as well.
After a while of Kryst being famous for her success in pageantry, she got lost from the scenes but resurfaced in 2016 when she was heading for Miss North Carolina USA 2017. As fate will have, success was not hers this time around although she placed as fourth runner-up. The following year saw her come back to compete for the crown again but then again victory was not hers.
This did not dampen her spirit as she showed up the third time for Miss North Carolina 2019 where she eventually emerged first. This victory earned her the right to represent North Carolina at Miss USA 2019 where she emerged winner again.
In the year 2019. she started working with Extra as a correspondent.
On 30th January 2022 as at 7:15 am Cheslie Kryst was found dead on the sidewalk of her condominium building. It is believed that her death is a result of suicide. She resided in a 60-story Orion apartment where her condo was on the 9th floor.
She was last seen on a terrace on the 29th floor of the building. Apparently, police have said that she jumped to the ground causing her death.
Before this act of hers, she posted a message on Instagram saying ” May this day bring you rest and peace“. Family, friends/work colleagues, and fans are mourning her throughout the country and across the world.
