On June 6, 1989, Cody Davis, a safety for the National Football League’s New England Patriots, was born. He was signed by the St. Louis Rams in 2013 as an undrafted free agent.
Throughout the first three years of the school, Davis started every game as the defensive backfield starter for Stephenville High School in Stephenville, Texas, contributing to the team’s cumulative 33-5 record.

His Texas Tech career came to an end with 49 starts, including 22 straight at safety. On March 23, 2020, Davis signed a contract with the New England Patriots. Due to rib damage, he was put on an injured reserve on October 5, 2020.
On October 31, he was put into service. During a 45-0 victory in Week 13 over the Los Angeles Chargers, Davis blocked a field goal that teammate Devin McCourty later returned for a touchdown of 44 yards. Davis renewed his two-year contract with the Patriots on March 19, 2021, for a maximum of $4.5 million.
