Collin Morikawa is a professional golfer who is currently competing on the PGA Tour and the European Tour.
Throughout the late fall and winter, Collin Morikawa worked his way up to surpass Jon Rahm in the world rankings and take the top spot.
Morikawa eventually overtook Rahm with his fifth-place performance at the Masters last week.
The golfer from Los Angeles was only able to move up to No. 2. Thanks to Scottie Scheffler’s last two months, the top spot is currently quite a ways away.
After finishing last season at No. 24, Scheffler has made quite the leap. He was ranked No. 14 when he came to Arizona two months ago after a good fall.
He climbed up to ninth with a victory at the Phoenix Open, sixth with a top-10 at Riviera, and fifth with a victory at Bay Hill.
He remained there for three weeks before moving up to No. 1 after winning the Match Play.
He currently has sway over the top position after to his resounding victory at the Masters.
In the upcoming months, it will probably take a similar run from another great player to topple him.
