After winning the Race to Dubai, the Open, and the DP World Tour Championship, Collin Morikawa had one of the best years of his life in 2021.
Morikawa, who just made history by being the first American to win the Race to Dubai on the European Tour revealed his engagement to longtime love Katherine Zhu On his Instagram page.

Zhu played for Pepperdine University for four years, winning numerous WGCA All-American honors.
The two met and clicked while playing collegiate golf together in California.
Katherine, who was born in Vancouver, is a lover of golf and she is frequently seen caddying for her boyfriend on the PGA Tour.
She stated, “My life is so centered around golf. It has taught me to maintain my composure in adverse circumstances. I’ve learned to appreciate those around me as a result.
“Most importantly, playing golf has given me chances to make memories I’ll cherish forever. I’m extremely appreciative of this fantastic game. “
The couple provided some background information on their relationship in a video for the PGA Tour earlier in the year.
Morikawa stated, “When we first met, we immediately connected.” It’s weird because the following week, I won my first college tournament, and ever since, we’ve done really well. It’s great fun.
Zhu went to Zhuji Hailiang Private High School in China for her high school education before coming to the United States to get her international management degree.
The golfing power couple began dating in April 2017, and to celebrate their third anniversary, they each shared Instagram images last year on their page.
The following month, Morikawa shared their first Instagram photo together with the caption, “Probably not a good idea to take your date to a rooftop when she’s afraid of heights.”
And given Zhu’s enormous fan base, they don’t mind keeping their growing romance in the spotlight.
According to her Instagram, Zhu spends the majority of her free time either making cookies or taking care of dogs after this year’s decision to become a temporary foster parent.
Morikawa and Zhu like going on dates, just like any happy couple does.

Zhu took advantage of the PGA Championship being played in San Francisco by visiting the Golden Gate Bridge, but she made sure to return to the course in time to watch her boyfriend easily defeat the field and win the tournament with a final-round 64.
